Photo Album: My Sicily/Sicilian Puppet Theatre Documentary at Youngstown State University!

Grazie/Thanks to all those who attended today’s “My Sicily” & “Sicilian Puppet Theatre Documentary” Presentation at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor!

Grazie/Thanks to Dr. Carla Simonini, Head of the Italian Department at Youngstown State University and Paula Schafer, President of the Italian Club as well as all the students, faculty and community members who were present!

I also particularly enjoyed learning about the thriving Italian Language Program and Study Abroad Program in Cefalu’, Sicily as well as learning about the lifestyle and working habits of Youngstown in the late 1800s, as well as the 1930s, 40s, 50s when Italian immigrants first reached Youngstown.

Here are some of the best snapshots from today’s event.  More photos on Facebook and stay tuned for new events that will soon be announced!

A presto,  Francesca
