Buon Pomeriggio a Voi Tutti, Cari Lettori…
Good Afternoon to All of You, Dear Readers…..
With great enthusiasm, I’m pleased to announce and invite all of you to a very special presentation of “My Sicily” in collaboration with the Department of Italian/Foreign Languages at Youngstown State University!
I want to thank Dr. Carla Simonini, Director of the Italian Language Program as well as Paula Schaefer, President of the Italian Club – A senior student pursuing a Double Major in American Studies and Italian. We met one year ago and knew immediately we would jointly organize an event. I want to thank them for their warm, generous and gracious personalities.
It will be my honor to learn about the Italian Language Program, one of the best in the State of Ohio, visit the university, most importantly meet and interact with the students and learn about the links between the Italian and Italian American Communities of Youngstown – representing one of the largest Italian communities of Ohio.
Finally, the event will be held at the prestigious Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor where you will have an opportunity to learn about the history, roots and identity of Youngstown and its community.
Grazie, Youngstown! See you on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 11.00am-12.30pm.
Event is free and open to the public.
Books will be available for purchase during book signing immediately following presentation.
Light refreshments will also be provided.
