A stupendous evening at the exclusive and private “Sicilian” event organized by Tiro A Segno in New York City last week! My deepest gratitude to Mark Corea, President, for extending the invitation and Paula Lauriano, Director of Member Services and Special Events for her impeccable planning and coordination of such an elegant and refined evening. Thanks to all the members of Tiro A Segno who attended and with whom I enjoyed interacting the entire evening. I’d also like to applaud the authentic and genuine Sicilian cuisine of Celebrity Chef Giuseppe Mannino, originally from Carini (in the province of Palermo) – who ignited the palate and senses of all those in attendance with the truest flavors and ingredients of the Sicilian land and sea. One of my personal favorites was the “CANNOLO DI RICOTTA DI PECORA” (Cannolo made with sheep’s ricotta, a true delicacy in Sicily!) ……….if you are ever in New York, it is without any hesitation that I recommend any of the three Mannino restaurants in Commack, Oakdale and Smithtown. Prepare for an exquisite culinary journey into the essence of La Bella Sicilia!
